I just returned from a 3-day business trip to California. Went to Disneyland on Sunday, then had one and a half days of Disney orientation. While waiting in line for, I believe Pirates of the Caribbean, Jeh handed me his iPhone with THIS Engadget page displayed. Needless to say, I wasn’t too happy even while at the “Happiest Place on Earth”. Pushing the date back on the X1 would get a whole lot of people p*ssed off…including me. But of course I was told that whoever found that table of dates basically was “cracking” into the Sony site to find info on the upcoming phone — meaning it’s not 100% accurate and might even be something else. After keeping that hope for inaccuracy for a day, Engadget posted an update on that rumor. Words from Sony Ericsson’s Corporate Vice President of the Global Communications confirming the 2nd half of 2008 release is still on, is official enough for me. *Phew!* Now if only they’d give an actual official release date!
